Dr. Yılmaz Argüden

He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ARGE Consulting, globally recognized for its work in preparing organizations for the future, the creative and innovative management strategies it develops and its social contributions. He provides management consulting services to many Turkish and foreign companies on strategy, business excellence, institutionalization, sustainability and governance. As the first Turkish company to sign the UN Global Compact, ARGE Consulting was recognized by the European Parliament as one of the top three companies shaping the future, selected as a B20 Knowledge Partner, and licensed as a European Foundation for Quality (EFQM) Consultancy and International Integrated Reporting Council Development Partner. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rothschild & Co. investment bank in Turkey and has served on the boards of more than 70 companies in various countries throughout his career. He shares his experiences by lecturing on strategy at Boğaziçi University, Koç University and War Academies, as well as through his books and columns published in various languages. Dr. Argüden is globally recognized for his work on Boards and Governance and his books and articles have been published in many languages. He is the Chair of the Governance Committee of Business at OECD, a member of the IFC Corporate Governance Advisory Board, and the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Argüden Governance Academy Foundation. He was elected as the World Chair of National Networks and served on the Board of Directors of the UN Global Compact, the world's most widespread sustainability platform. During his presidency of KalDer, he initiated the National Quality Movement. He was the founder and/or leader of many non-governmental organizations such as the Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey, Private Sector Volunteers Association, BÜMED, Tesev, Turkish-American and Turkish-Canadian Business Councils. He graduated from Boğaziçi University with both the First Prize and the Rector's Award for student leadership, and received his PhD in Strategic Analyses from the RAND Graduate School with an Outstanding Achievement Award. He won three Turkish Championships with Tarsus American College and Boğaziçi University basketball teams. He served as the Vice President of the Turkish Basketball Federation. Dr. Argüden, who has received many awards such as Strategic Leadership, Outstanding Citizenship and Distinguished Career, was selected as one of the 100 Global Leaders of the Future by the World Economic Forum for his efforts to improve the quality of life. www.arguden.net
